Check out the new Asus Eeepc 1005HA which replaced the Eeepc 1000HE. The onboard features are pretty much the same in both models. It has a 1.6GHz intel atom processor, 160GB SATA 2.5 5400RPM Drive, and 1GB of ram. Also both units have a 10†screen. The older model came with a 6 Cell battery which gave you about 5hrs of usage where as the new 1005HA comes with a 3 Cell battery giving you about 2hrs of usage.
The new Eeepc 1005HA is lighter and somewhat slimmer than its older model. They also did away with the Chiclet keyboard and changed a few things on it. One of the features that does stand out in the new model is the ability to pinch in and out like the iphone in web pages, photos, and even adobe acrobat reader. She recently saw your review of the Asus Eeepc 1005ha and wanting a very light notebook (she is not very big) thinks it is the just what she wants.
I also was very impressed with your review as I felt it was most informative and expert. My thanks to you for that. I would be most grateful if you could answer this question for me.
My daughter is thinking of getting one whilst she is in the USA.
My question is this – are there any differences in specification between the models marketed in the USA and those marketed in the UK?
Obviously when she returns to Scotland she will probably have to get a different voltage charger but is there anything else that could cause a problem?
