  1. got it since 2 weeks, and it is one of the better netbooks. tried a “acer one” before, but i need more than 800x600px screen resolution to work.
however, the linux driver support for the lt3103 is just terrible. tried ubuntu and fedora and they all had issues with either wifi, gfx card or the cpu (cant adjust frequency, so its always running on full power + fan on). the other thing i noticed was that wifi is pretty slow. tried to copy a big file over from my other laptop, and i got just ~600…650kB/s. might be ok for browsing the web and playing online games, but not doe large file transfers.

battery life is about 3 – 3.5h in windows, less than 2h under linux unless you get this cpu frquency issue fixed somehow.

  2. I bought one (refurbished) off Woot and couldn’t be happier. It’s light, think and fast. The built-in camera and mic work great with Skype, and though it doesn’t have cd/dvd drive, I’v watched movies off my flash drive with it and it worked fine.
The wifi reception is very good, better even than my macbook in that regard. The only downside I can come up with is that it comes with Vista, but so far that hasn’t been as much of an obstacle as I feared. Just took some getting used to.
